St. Bernard Students Embark on a Lenten Challenge

As we enter the sacred season of Lent, St. Bernard students have been given a meaningful challenge to help them grow in faith and kindness. This school-wide initiative encourages students to deepen their connection with God and develop a habit of serving others through daily prayer and acts of kindness.

Each student has received a special Lenten packet to bring home, filled with resources designed to make this 40-day journey both engaging and impactful. This challenge is not just for the students—it’s meant to be a family project, fostering faith and compassion within the home. Through prayer, families draw closer to God, and through acts of kindness, students learn the importance of generosity and selflessness.

What’s Included in the Lenten Packet?

  • 40 Days of Prayer Slips: A daily guide to intentional conversations with God.
  • 40 Days of Kindness Slips: Small but meaningful ways to brighten someone’s day.
  • A Prayer Box: A place to collect prayer slips and reflect on the power of prayer.
  • A Prayer Cube: A fun tool to inspire different ways to pray.
  • Stations of the Cross Cutouts: A visual aid to help younger students understand the journey of Jesus.
  • A Puzzle Page: A fun activity to reinforce the lessons of Lent.
  • A Bookmark: A reminder of the Lenten journey and the importance of faith.
  • A Calendar: A way to track progress and stay committed to daily prayer and kindness.

Parents are encouraged to support their children in assembling the prayer box, prayer cube, and Stations of the Cross cutouts if needed. By engaging in this challenge together, families can create a strong foundation of faith and service that extends beyond the Lenten season.

This Lenten Challenge is an opportunity for our students to grow spiritually and develop a heart for others. We look forward to seeing how our school community embraces this journey of prayer, kindness, and reflection.

Let’s make this Lent a time of transformation, both in our hearts and in the world around us!
