Art is a real “hoot” in 4th grade! Students recently explored the ancient craft of weaving, learning about looms and discovering just how many everyday items are created using this timeless process. They were amazed to see that weaving techniques haven’t changed much over the centuries!
Using handmade cardboard looms, each student chose their own yarn colors to weave a vibrant owl. Once their weaving was complete, they added a bark “branch” and special details to bring their owls to life. The results were as unique and creative as each artist. What a fun and colorful way to connect history with hands-on art!
