Our third graders had a wonderful time at Barkhausen Waterfowl Preserve the other day! They spent the morning on a nature trek, exploring the natural world around them as they hiked through the preserve and observed their surroundings. In the afternoon, students dove into a pond study, learning about pond ecosystems and engaging in hands-on discovery as they caught and examined a variety of fascinating critters. It was a day full of curiosity, exploration, and meaningful learning outside the classroom!
