Catholic Schools Week is always a joyful and meaningful time at St. Bernard School, and this year’s celebration was truly filled with faith, service, community, and fun. From prayerful moments to spirited dress days, our students, staff, and families came together to celebrate all that makes Catholic education so special.
We began the week on Sunday by celebrating our parish and families through attendance at Mass and by sharing a colorful display of student-created pennants in the Narthex. Throughout the week, students proudly showcased their creativity, faith, and school spirit while reflecting on the many blessings of being part of the St. Bernard community.
Service and outreach were at the heart of our celebration. Students participated in a collection drive to support the Alexandrina Center, helping provide essential items for mothers and babies in the Green Bay community. They also decorated lunch bags for ADRC, spreading kindness and encouragement through simple messages and artwork. These acts of service reminded our students that faith calls us to care for others.
Each day brought special activities that highlighted different aspects of Catholic Schools Week. Students enjoyed show and tell, school-wide bingo, a scavenger hunt, and daily surprises from Student Council. One of the highlights was our teacher swap, where staff members switched classrooms to lead fun and engaging activities, much to the delight of students.
Midweek, students celebrated our nation by creating prayer chains filled with intentions for our country. They also enjoyed a special school-wide movie experience, with K through 8 students traveling to the De Pere Cinema to see the movie David, while our preschoolers enjoyed a movie and popcorn right here at school.
Thursday focused on vocations, with students participating in Stop, Drop, and Pray moments throughout the day. Friendly competition filled the gym during the Battle of the Disney Parks, where homerooms worked together in challenges that emphasized teamwork, leadership, and school spirit.
We wrapped up Catholic Schools Week by celebrating our faculty, staff, and volunteers. A special closing ceremony and pep rally recognized our student athletes and brought the entire school together in gratitude and joy. The week concluded with moments of reflection, laughter, and appreciation for the dedicated adults who make St. Bernard a place where students can grow in faith and learning.
Catholic Schools Week is always a reminder of the strong community we share at St. Bernard School. We are grateful for our students, families, staff, parish, and supporters who help make our school a place where faith comes alive each and every day.
Peace. Pray. Learn.
