Seventh Graders Learn About Animal Conservation with Special Zoo Visitors

Our seventh-grade students recently had a memorable and hands-on learning experience thanks to a visit from educators from the NEW Zoo & Adventure Park. The presentation brought science to life as students learned about animal conservation and the important role humans play in protecting wildlife.

During the visit, students explored what conservation means and discussed simple, everyday actions they can take to help protect animals and their habitats. From being mindful of waste to respecting wildlife and the environment, students learned that even small choices can make a meaningful difference.

The highlight of the visit was meeting several fascinating animal ambassadors. Students had the opportunity to see a bull python, a hermit crab, a blue-tongued skink lizard, and a chinchilla up close. These encounters sparked curiosity, thoughtful questions, and excitement as students connected classroom learning to real-world experiences.

This visit was a wonderful extension of our science curriculum and a powerful reminder of the importance of caring for God’s creation. We are grateful to the team from the NEW Zoo and Adventure Park for sharing their knowledge and passion with our students and helping make learning both engaging and unforgettable.
